Sylvie Moulin

Sylvie is an anthropologist with a knack for sourcing authentic, quality Moroccan décor and furnishings. She developed her eye for global design having spent over half of her life living overseas. Her career in anthropology and international development led her to become a researcher for the World Bank, a job that took her to several African countries including Mali, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. While working in Morocco, Sylvie met her husband and they had a traditional, three-day Moroccan wedding – introducing Sylvie to the art of North African and Middle Eastern celebrations.

Sylvie spent nearly a decade living in Morocco, and during that time she immersed herself in local architecture and design by building and decorating several homes. She scoured the local markets and artisanal shops of Morocco to find unique vintage wool rugs, textiles, floor cushions, colorful ceramic tiles, lanterns and other Moroccan and Berber décor. The experience of sourcing all of the unique elements for these homes cemented Sylvie’s interest in the local design and products of the region.

Now Sylvie is sharing her design knowledge of the Eastern world with Central Texas by providing a well-curated collection of quality-made pieces you won’t find anywhere else. “There are no other event professionals specializing in Middle Eastern, Tribal fusion, and international events,” says Sylvie Moulin. “I wanted to provide beautiful, high-quality pieces of furniture and décor that can be used in a variety of ways to infuse a little bit of global culture into any celebration.”
